If you're heading over to Melbourne for tomorrow's Cup be prepared to shiver through one of the coldest Cup days in the past decade.
The city will reach a cool top of 16C, with rain forecast for the morning, according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's Dean Narramore.
"That's probably the coldest day we've seen since around 2006 where the maximum was 15.8 degrees (Celsius)," he said.
Mr Narramore warned racegoers to take an umbrella for the journey to Flemington.
"We are going to see a bit of drizzle and also cold air as well as cloudy conditions and winds.
Up to 1mm of rain is expected but it'll be clear for the big race.
This November is shaping up to be the coldest in 24 years for the Victorian city, with temperatures five to 10 degrees below the average.
The coolest Cup Day ever recorded was in 1913 when maximum struggled to reach 11C and showers and hail fell.
