The San Antonio Spurs rode red hot shooting and paint-packing defence to win game three of the NBA Finals and take a 2-1 series lead.

In game four the Heat will be looking to hit back and level the series on the Spurs home court, with superstar LeBron James promising to do "whatever it takes" to lift his game.

Hayden Donnell of nzherald.co.nz, comedian Guy Williams and APNZ sports reporter Daniel Richardson are covering the action live. Tip-off is around 1pm.
