Cycling: Roulston wins National Road champs

Veteran rider Hayden Roulston has won the National Road Cycling Champs in Christchurch.

Roulston has hauled in his Nissan RadioShack teammate George Bennett on the final lap to take out this year's title.

He says despite the victory, it wasn't his most enjoyable race.

Roulston says it was one of the worst experiences he has had on a bike and he was sick on the back straight.

Under 23 rider James Oram has finished third, with the retiring Julian Dean in fourth.
