God Defend New Zealand will be heard in Sydney this weekend before Sunday's grand final between the Warriors and the Manly Sea Eagles.

Australian rugby league officials have decided to acknowledge the Warriors' presence by having our national anthem played, along with Advance Australia Fair, before the match.

The same move was made before the 2002 grand final, which is the only other one to have featured the Warriors.

Meanwhile Australia's Centrebet has installed Manly as $1.48 favorites to win the season finale, with the Warriors at $2.68. The New Zealand TAB has shorter odds with Manly at $1.57 and the Warriors $2.30.
