KEY POINTS:
The nzherald.co.nz site publishes throughout the day and night seven days a week. We carry articles from the New Zealand Herald newspaper as well as stories, pictures, audio, video and graphics that are produced as stories happen.
Major breaking news may be carried as the lead on the site home page, or appear as the top of a section, like Sport, Business or World.
You can tell the difference between a story from the newspaper or one that has been published especially for the site. If it is from the newspaper it carries the date of publication at the top of the story.
If it was published especially for the website it carries the date and the time it went online.
We try to publish as much of the newspaper on the site as we can.
But sometimes we do not have the rights to a story. For instance, it could be a wire agency story which forbids online publication.
All stories are displayed within one or several news sections on the site relevant to the story subject. The top current stories from these sections are also displayed on the site home page.
You can navigate to different sections from the navigation on the top of any page.
We endeavour to put as much of the Herald content online as we can, but some is not available.
It includes:
• Any articles to which we do not have the electronic publishing rights
• Letters to the Editor
• Some special edition supplements and special reports.
• Some photographs
• Some tables, charts and information graphics
• Newspaper Crosswords.
