John Paul College once again presented a dramatic piece of theatre that left the viewer with a feeling of sadness and emotions stirred.
Staged at Casa Blanca Theatre with just two performances on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, the 18-strong cast of Remember the Holocaust are to be commended for
such a sensitive and convincing performance of this reminder of this event in history.
In today's world it is easy to forget the struggles of the past and ignore the parallels between Germany in the late 1930s and early 1940s and the current immigration and refugee crisis of 2017.
How well this young cast portrayed this picture. One would not single out any performer as the director, Gabrielle Thurston, ensured that each of the cast had a role to play in this compilation of both classic modern Holocaust literature.
The staging was bare, simply complimented with 18 chairs but with clever use of minimal props and absolutely wonderful overhead projection from the technical team, the setting was complete.
