Ben Salter is a mesmerising performer and one of Australia's most highly regarded songwriters. He has a diverse array of work in his catalogue and returns to New Zealand with his esoteric folk/rock show.
Tomorrow night's show is the first time he has performed to a Rotorua crowd. He chose to perform in the city because of the intimate nature of the Rogue Stage.
Salter is performing as part of a line-up of four artists, along with two poets and a folk/pop band.
"Ben toured New Zealand last year with comedian Dan Kelly, and people who enjoy 'tongue in cheek' humour are in for a treat. Ben's work has punch and depth, the kind of quality you will find at the Rogue Stage," said organiser Karin Vincent.
He has previously performed at the APRA Music Awards in 2014 and his album The Stars My Destination has received excellent reviews.
