There is less than two months until the big night and and tension is building.

Rotorua Daily Post reporter Kyra Dawson is taking part in August's Dancing with Rotorua Stars. But this week we hear from her dance partner Brent Park, of Volcanic Hills Winery.

Hey everyone, this week sees a completely different light on the situation, as Kyra has been so sick with some deadly illness. Yes, I Flash, have stepped up for a story telling moment.

The dancing quality has definitely risen to a new level in the last round of practises and couples are now avoiding each other and not letting on their own secret move.

To add to this was a quick week away from the usual space of the hall at Westbrook Primary School and a quick trip to the Eastside, where there was a session held at the Lynmore School hall. Instructors Shelley [Martin] and Troy [Smith] were also missing, but the skills of Glen Law were aptly employed to continue advancing our skills.

Friday held another surprise after a birthday celebration for one of our close knit community, who shall remain nameless, but a huge happy birthday from us all.

Lastly, thanks to everyone who has got out there and bought a table for the final event, which are now sold out! But you can still get seats in the viewing area.

Only seven weeks away and look out for the ItCO "Zoom" couple!

Don't forget we are doing this for hospice, and it is a great cause.
