From cupcakes to candied apples, Rotorua Intermediate pupils treated themselves to baked goods yesterday, all in the name of a good cause.
Year 8 pupils from Toi a Rangi 1 hosted a morning tea, selling their homemade goodies with proceeds donated to the worldwide charity Oxfam.
Oxfam's Morning Tea programme is a nationwide fundraising event to help lift struggling families out of poverty.
Toi a Rangi 1 teacher Jessica Porter said she showed an Oxfam video to her class and they were all keen to get involved.
Ms Porter said it was important to give pupils the chance to get involved in charity work.
