It's not the stage she's used to, but Elizabeth Marvelly says the opportunity to showcase her home town in front of the television cameras was a great experience.
The talented songstress took a break from recording her third album to spend a day filming for the show Neighbourhood, which will screen on TV1 at 11am Sunday.
As part of the show Marvelly will show viewers some of her favourite spots in Rotorua and it will also feature Rotorua migrants who have settled here.
Marvelly said while the day of filming was far from the glamorous image many had of television - "it's actually quite long days, quite gruelling" - she had a fantastic time filming.
"I had a lot of fun reminiscing on my childhood, talking about what [Rotorua] means to my family."
