Sheesh, humans are clever. Balloon-powered internet access sounds like some kind of wizard magic.

Actually, it's more the kind of idea I'd have dreamed up as a kid in primary school when I was describing The Future. "There will be balloons filled with magic breath that talk to all humans and guinea pigs that will create harmony and save lives!"

"Bless you Jaquie Brown, you might be rubbish at maths and all physical activity but good on you for having a go," they'd say, and then I'd probably have been given an F for being unrealistic.

Maybe my 7-year-old dream of fart-propelled airplanes isn't too far off.
