A High Court jury has found a Christchurch man guilty of abducting and raping a 17-year-old woman over an eight-day period.
Jason John Cumming, 29, was remanded in custody this morning for sentencing next month.
The prosecution claimed the woman was held prisoner at Cumming's Riccarton, Christchurch, flat last October, chained up and repeatedly raped and sexuallly abused.
Cumming claimed that the woman had been used by a gang to frame him over an incident that happened years earlier.
The jury retired at 2.40pm yesterday and returned with guilty verdicts just before 11am today.
