A drunk man made no attempt to conceal his identity as he strolled into an Auckland Bank and allegedly robbed it.
Waitemata Police Detective Sergeant Ross Clapp said a man entered the ASB Bank on Constellation Dr, Mairangi Bay just before 4pm yesterday and allegedly demanded cash from a staff member.
The man who police believe may have been intoxicated, was seen in the area prior to entering the bank holding a clear bottle possibly containing alcohol. He was also holding a mobile phone.
CCTV images clearly show him looking relaxed as he walked into the bank.
He ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash heading towards the Constellation Bus Station.
