As Cyclone Cook rips through New Zealand, flooding homes and leaving more than 10,000 people without power, Kiwis have taken to Facebook to mark themselves safe using the site's safety check feature.
It also allows people to request or offer types of support, including food, shelter or volunteer aid.
However some cheeky Kiwis have been using the feature for other purposes.
Rhys Guscott requested help in Waotu, saying he was "looking for a girlfriend".
