One lucky Aucklander is $10 million richer tonight after scooping the Powerball pool.
Lotto spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said the winning ticket was bought online by a player from Auckland.
The prize is made up of $10 million from Powerball First Division and $166,667 from Lotto First Division.
The winning numbers were 19, 14, 33, 24, 35 and 36, with a bonus ball of 27. The winning Powerball number was 9.
It is the third Powerball win in recent weeks, after wins last month by a player in Whangarei who received $5.5 million and a young couple from the Hibiscus Coast who snared $44 million - the biggest prize ever won in New Zealand.
Five other tickets also won $166,677 each, two of them sold at Patels Foodmarket in Whangarei, online to players in the Bay of Plenty and in Canterbury and at Paper Plus in Dunedin.
Strike was won by a player in Invercargill, who takes home $122,434. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Elles Rd New World.
There were 19,891 winners across all divisions, with a prize-pool of $10,252,224 won.
There were 21 division three winners, who scored themselves $697 each.
All profits from ticket sales for tonight's draw will go towards helping those affected by the recent large earthquake in Kaikoura, Hurunui and in Marlborough.
