A number of charges have been laid against a 33-year-old man in relation to an incident in Northland.
The man will appear in Manukau District Court tomorrow, facing three charges of using a firearm against police, two charges of kidnapping, two charges of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and for impersonating a police officer.
He will also appear on a parole recall warrant and a warrant for his arrest in a separate matter.
A police spokeswoman said in a statement that further charges are likely.
