A Hutt Valley man accused of robbing a bank will appear in court next week.

On Friday, police arrested a 23-year-old over the robbery of Westpac on Jackson St, Petone, on June 30.

He will appear in the Hutt Valley District Court on Thursday next week facing charges of aggravated robbery, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and driving while disqualified.

"We are very pleased with the result and would like to thank the Hutt Valley public for information provided during the course of the investigation," said Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett.
