A teenage boy was airlifted to hospital after his car hit a farm vehicle in Hawke's Bay yesterday.

The teen, whose age was not given, was travelling along a farm track in rural Waimarama when the accident happened.

The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter crew was sent to the scene about 5pm.
