A Wellington vet is offering discounted flea treatment to ANZ staff who've been affected by an outbreak of fleas in a central city building.

Staff are having to work in infested areas, after the exterminator who was due to deal with the fleas called in sick.

Now, Tasman St Vets is offering 25 per cent off treatments for bank staff.

Owner David Lloyd says it can cost up to 90 dollars, and no one likes to fork out for it.

He says flea infestations are awful, and if they can help people they're just up the road.
