One of New Zealand's biggest rockets was launched yesterday as part of the New Zealand Rocketry Association's annual open day.
This rocket, named the Marsden rocket, was built by Jack Davies, who is pictured receiving some help preparing for the launch at a farmer's paddock near Huntly.
The Marsden is one of the biggest amateur rockets built in New Zealand.
The Rocketry Association's open day is held in February each year, and it is a chance for association members to get together and indulge their passion and share information.
More than 40 rockets were launched on the day.
