It's been clear skies and sunshine for Auckland this week - but the weekend brings a temporary end to the golden weather.
The fine spell is likely to continue today and into tomorrow, a spokesman for the MetService said.
"We are expecting another pretty nice day tomorrow, slightly windier than today, a little bit of a northwesterly but nothing too severe."
From Friday onwards conditions aren't looking quite as nice - with clouds, some showers and more persistent rain expected.
The temperature is expected to reach 17 degrees today, 18 degrees tomorrow and Friday, before dropping to 16 degrees on the weekend.
Rain and showers are likely to linger into Saturday morning, but are looking to clear up after that.
While it might feel like a whole other season, this week has not been unusually warm, he said. Rather, the clear skies mean "the sun is in full effect".
"When you're standing out in the sun it's been nice warm temperatures, it's starting to feel like summer a bit."
