A young boy who went missing from an Auckland shopping centre this afternoon has been found. Police wish to thank the public for their assistance.

Nine-year-old Oliver Asquith went missing from the Royal Oak Shopping Centre about 3pm today.

He was described as pakeha, has brown hair, a slim build and freckles across his face.

He was wearing a sandy coloured T-shirt, grey tracksuit trousers and sandals when he disappeared. He was also carrying a small red bag.
