A Tauranga mother who assaulted her four children aged under 12, one as young as three, has been sentenced to 12 months intensive supervision and 240 hours community work.
The abuses which involved the use of a jandal and sometimes a folded belt happened between August and October last year.
The 28-year-old woman, who earlier pleaded guilty to four charges of assault on a child, was granted final name suppression when she was sentenced in Tauranga District Court yesterday.
Name suppression was granted to protect the victims, who are no longer in the mother's care from being identified,.
