A truck crash has blocked traffic and caused a diesel spill in the Auckland suburb of Parnell.
Police said the truck and trailer unit tipped over and hit a parked car on The Strand at about 12:30pm.
Northern communications Inspector Steve Kose said the driver was initially trapped but managed to get out of the vehicle before emergency services arrived.
No injuries were reported.
The overturned truck was blocking traffic on The Strand, Kose said.
A police spokeswoman said a crane was being brought in to move the truck off the road. Only one lane was open to traffic.
She urged motorists to avoid the area as it would be "gridlocked".
Auckland Council workers had been called to the scene to clean up a diesel spill, he said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash
