Auckland tsunami sirens to be tested

Tsunami sirens on Auckland's north and west coast will be sounded on April 7 by Auckland Civil Defence to test their performance and make residents familiar with the alert.

During the test they will sound three times for one minute with 15 seconds between each set. In an emergency the tones will sound for longer.
