Two more people have come forward with complaints about a Christchurch masseur who is already facing a charge of indecent assault.

A 58-year old man appeared in Christchurch District Court on December 10 on a charge of indecent assault.

Police alleged he indecently assaulted a female customer during a massage at suburban mall earlier this month.

Detective Damon Wells said that since then, two more women had come forward with allegations about the same type of indecent assault at another branch of the same store in a second suburban mall.

"The fact that additional women have come forward indicates a disturbing pattern of behaviour,'' Mr Wells said.

"There may well be still more victims we are unaware of.''

The man was remanded on bail without plea to reappear on January 7.
