Kiwi killed in Saudia Arabia was due to marry

A New Zealander who died a car crash in Saudi Arabia earlier this month was reportedly due to marry his fiancé in November.

Father-of-three Rawson Wright, 37, was killed in the accident between his 4x4 and a truck on September 3.

His father, also called Rawson, told Fairfax Media his eldest son had only recently got engaged to his fiancé Susan.

They were to marry in Rarotonga in November.

According to his death notice placed in the New Zealand Herald, Mr Wright had lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for almost seven years.

"He was an exceptional Dairy Farmer whose love and passion for the work was second to none. Everyone who knew Rawson knew he lived life to the fullest. He loved to fish, travel, but above all he loved his children. He will be greatly missed by all and forever in our hearts through our memories."

Mr Wright's service and funeral is to be held at Waikaretu Marae, Pouto tomorrow at 11am.
