An alleged P smoker is on the run as police consider laying groundbreaking charges against him for exposing the daughters of his partner, aged just 3 and 6, to the drug.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Lance Edward Rasmussen, 38, for failing to appear in the North Shore District Court on cannabis and methamphetamine charges.

He has been on the run since his partner Adriene Johnson, 27, was charged with two counts of administering a class-A drug to her children in October.
