Mark Du Plessis, the star jockey of last month's Wellington Cup carnival, will take up a six month riding contract in Singapore next month.
Du Plessis is to become stable jockey for former New Zealand trainer Stephen Gray, who has a stable at Kranji racetrack.
"It's a great opportunity for me and I am really looking forward to it," Du Plessis said.
Du Plessis rode for a month in Singapore last October and rode two winners.
Du Plessis won the group one New Zealand Oaks at Trentham last month on outsider Tapildo and rode Andrella to win the Anniversary Handicap.
