Kimbra nominated for Grammy

The Grammy awards have recognised Kiwi singer Kimbra and Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Gotye, with the pair scoring a nomination for record of the year for their duet Somebody That I Used To Know.

The category includes a hefty six nominees, each of which was inescapable over the past year. The list also includes Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You), fun.`s We Are Young, Taylor Swift's We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, The Black Keys' Lonely Boy and Frank Ocean's Thinkin Bout You.

Clarkson and fun. also were nominated in the best pop vocal album category, announced on Wednesday night at the top of the Grammys nominations concert, aired live from Nashville for the first time.
