The tin-top version of Jaguar's big cat beauty will hit Kiwi showrooms in July.

The F-Type Coupe will start from $125,000 plus on-roads, with the S priced at $140,000 and the range-topping R a lofty $185,000.

Both the S Coupe and basic coupe are powered by Jaguar's 3-litre V6 supercharged petrol engines in 280kW/460Nm and 250kW/450Nm forms, giving 0-100km/h in 4.9/5.3 seconds and top speeds of 275/260km/h.

For your extra coin, the R Coupe has a 5-litre supercharged V8 engine in 404kW/680Nm tune, delivering acceleration to 100km/h in 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 300km/h.

Jaguar New Zealand brand manager Paul Ricketts is pleased to be rounding out the flagship model's range.

"The F-Type Coupe provides its driver with a unique sports car experience," he says.

"It combines seductive design with cutting-edge technology and performance which is truly breathtaking.

"There are a lot of New Zealanders looking forward to the F-Type Coupe arriving in July."

Some customers have already plonked down sizeable deposits despite having not seen the car and having driven only the drop-top F-Type variants.

The F-Type Coupe has already received the royal treatment.

Prince Harry took the opportunity to race a prototype version at Goodwood Motor Circuit during an event to raise awareness for one of his charities, The Endeavour Fund.

Prince Harry and some of the injured service personnel drove a few laps of the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe on the famous motor circuit.

They were among the first people to drive the new two-seat British sports car which is set for delivery to its first customers in Britain from the end of this month.
