Australian model Jesinta Campbell and AFL superstar Buddy Franklin tied the knot in a top secret ceremony on Friday.
And the newlyweds did such a great job keeping the wedding under wraps, the destination was only confirmed last night.
"It was a beautiful Queenstown wedding," according to one guest, Mark Evans.
Many reports followed his lead and suggested it took place in the picturesque resort town in New Zealand.
Channel Nine in Australia reported yesterday that it was indeed held in Queenstown, located in New Zealand's South Island.
But the network later claimed the ceremony took place in the Blue Mountains in New South Wales.
Adding to the confusion, another guest suggested the wedding was held in the Barossa Valley, a famous South Australian wine region.
Many media outlets simply reported the ceremony was held in "Queenstown".
But "Queenstown" is not simply a Kiwi resort town, but also a region in Tasmania, and a north-western suburb of Adelaide.
Meanwhile, the actual wedding location was finally revealed last night.
The ceremony took place at Mount Wilson in the Blue Mountains, which the venue confirmed on Instagram.
It seems the wedding was shrouded in mystery from the beginning.
In fact, the secret ceremony came days after Jesinta downplayed marriage rumours.
Speaking on the Today show, the brunette confirmed the couple would be taking a holiday but denied any elopement.
Host Lisa Wilkinson asked: "You are not going to go away and elope? You are not going to rob us of the wedding moment are you?"
Jesinta replied: "No, for us, this year for us was focusing on health and happiness and getting through the year."
The couple got engaged in 2014 and were due to marry earlier but were forced to postpone after the Swans superstar took a break from the game due to mental health issues.
Jesinta described the time as "tough and challenging" but has remained supportive of her husband and a champion for mental health issues.
The couple have been described as inspirational with their rock-solid relationship despite ups and downs.
A month ago the former Miss Universe and brand ambassador said she admired what Buddy had achieved personally "far more than any goal, milestone or win you could ever be a part of" after the Swans AFL Grand Final loss.
"I feel like we've won on so many different levels this year and that's what truly matters in life. You have inspired me so much," she said.
The couple announced the shock wedding news on Instagram shortly after 1am yesterday morning.
"Mr & Mrs Franklin," Jesinta wrote alongside a picture of the newlyweds.
The stunning bride wore a full-skirted Vera Wang gown with cathedral veil - perhaps inspired by her front-row appearance at the label's ready-to-wear show at New York Fashion Week earlier this year.
She made a quick change for the reception into an Ana Luisa gown which was also designed by Vera Wang and retails for around $20,000. The floor length, ivory coloured lace gown showed off Franklin's petite figure.
The groom wore a suit by Hugo Boss for the ocassion, which was for close family and friends only.
