Do you like the look of painted toenails, but can't be bothered with the effort and upkeep? A Japanese fashion company has the solution to your pedicure woes: stockings with pre-painted toenails.

Before you cringe over a vision of stocking-webbed toes protruding out the front of your sandals, the offering from Belle Maison features individual fittings, so you can slip each toe into its own painted casing. Think of them like gloves for your feet.

Made in a variety of colours, but just one skin tone, according to Belle Maison's website a full-waist pair costs about $US13. Or there's the knee high option, for $US11.

Clearly a much cheaper option than a professional paint job, aside from the risk of a ladder in your "pedicure", fans of the creation are no doubt wondering what's not to love.
