Stella McCartney is to show at London Fashion Week in February 2012.
The British designer, and daughter of Paul McCartney, has previously always presented her latest collections in Paris. But next year she's changing things up in order to debut a "one-off" range in the British capital during the Autumn/Winter 2012 season.
"The Saturday night 'special fashion presentation' on February 18 next year will, her office emphasised, be to showcase a 'one-off' Stella McCartney collection," reports British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
"It will be the focal point of a London-based marketing Stella-thon next February that will see a World of Stella exhibition of Selfridges, a new fragrance launch, and the opening of a new Stella McCartney store, her second in London."
McCartney's also designing the sports uniforms being worn by the British team at the 2012 Olympic Games, but it's not thought her special presentation is linked to the sports event.
Despite showcasing in London, McCartney's main Autumn/Winter 12 line will be presented in Paris several weeks later as usual.
It's unknown whether the decision to conduct a runway display in London means McCartney is considering moving her shows in the future.
