Croquettes
Teach the kids the basics - a good white sauce, quite thick, stirred through with ham, parsley and grated cheese. Chill until firm, roll into croquettes, coat in breadcrumbs and pan fry.

Eggs and ham
A classic lunch or fast tea - puffy omelette, wrapped around sliced ham, with tomato or cheese and fresh herbs. Or layer ham on toasted muffins, top with poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce for a hammy eggs benedict.

Pizza power
Top pita breads with tomato paste, sliced ham, grated cheese and bake. Or top scone dough with ham, grated cheese, roll up slice and bake for a hot and tasty lunch.
