Aramoana film cracks $1 million

The film about the Aramoana massacre has cracked the $1 million mark at the New Zealand box office, pushing it into the top 10 list of highest-grossing local films.

Out of the Blue, about David Gray's rampage when he shot dead 13 people, continues a successful year for local cinema which started with Sione's Wedding.

Number one in the top 10 is The World's Fastest Indian. Others include Sione's Wedding, Once Were Warriors and Goodbye Pork Pie.
