A man received serious injuries when he fell 5m through a roof in Puketapu yesterday.
The 48-year-old was airlifted to Hawke's Bay Hospital by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter about noon.
St John Hawke's Bay spokesman Brendon Hutchinson said the man had received serious head, shoulder and chest injuries.
An ambulance attended the scene and transported him to the rescue helicopter, which had landed in a nearby paddock.
A hospital spokeswoman said he was in a stable condition yesterday.
A 22-year-old man also received substantial injuries after falling through a roof in Taumarunui last month.
He fell up to 6m, landing heavily on to concrete.
The Westpac rescue helicopter flew him to Waikato Hospital.
