Brewery girls bearing crates - gorge-ous

Two gorgeous girls from the Tui Brewery in Mangatainoka delivered "refreshments," to a team of road workers who helped re-open the Manawatu gorge.

Crates of beer were trucked in as a thank you, following a recent announcement that both lanes of the gorge had re-opened to traffic for the first time in over a year.

"We are celebrating that Tui HQ has once again become a popular destination for the good folk of Palmerston North to visit," Tui HQ manager Jenny Holmes said.

"But of course this is thanks to workers who have spent the last 13 months - in the rain, snow and wind, clearing the road for everyone to enjoy and have a sense of normality return to their travels."

Tui Brewery girls were allowed an afternoon off the bottling line to personally deliver some cold beers.

"Those guys are still working so hard so we felt it only appropriate to take the beer to them and say thanks for the commitment that they've shown to opening our primary gateway again."

Tui HQ is a well known tourist destination and was extremely popular with visitors and businesses to the Manawatu.

The site incorporates Tui HQ cafe, a retail store, Histui Museum, the Flagon Room private function room, and Tuiversity Conference Centre.

"Now the gorge is re-opened Tui HQ is once again the perfect place to come and grab lunch and relax," Ms Holmes said.
