Listen: Join Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking as he speaks to Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney
Sir Paul McCartney is in New Zealand and the Beatles legend is raring to party.
The music icon posted a video to Facebook upon his arrival to say hello to his Kiwi fans, along with the caption: "Finally in NZ".
"Ok, so I finally got to New Zealand - wow, it's been a little while, it's beautiful, look at that," he says, gesturing to the green NZ background behind him.
He then adds: "Looking forward to the gig on Saturday night in Auckland, hope to see you there. Come on, let's rock!"
Earlier reports suggested Sir Paul was spending time in Hawke's Bay, having arrived by private jet on Wednesday night.
He is due to play at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday night.
McCartney recently floored Australian audiences with his 40-song set, which is being described as "epic" and "a musical experience like few others" by Australian media.
The Sydney Morning Herald awarded Monday night's show 4.5 stars.
