Disney Pixar has released a new trailer for the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory.
The story follows TV host Ellen DeGeneres' forgetful fish character Dory, who embarks on her own mission to find and reunite with loved ones.
In the trailer that premiered on DeGeneres' show, the beloved blue tang who has spent years aimlessly wandering the ocean trying to find her family, is captured and placed in a marine rehabilitation facility.
The film features original characters Nemo and his dad Marlin as well as new underwater characters including an octopus named Hank, sea lions and a beluga whale.
The story also welcomes Diane Keaton as the voice of Dory's mother, Modern Family's Ty Burrell and The Wire's Idris Elba.
Finding Dory will splash into New Zealand theatres from June 23.
