Former Wag Brooke McAlister has visited an "animal communicator" in her bid to get her Romeo back.
McAlister - the ex-wife of former All Black Luke - has been left heartbroken after her pedigree Sphynx cat Romeo vanished from her Ponsonby home just after Christmas.
Frustrated that not even the lure of a $5000 reward from internet mogul Kim Dotcom has garnered any leads, Brooke visited animal communicator and healer Fay Rogers - who has appeared in numerous New Zealand TV shows - for answers.
Rogers' response was shocking; Romeo has been cat-capped by a man wearing a black and white jacket with a number on it and was probably put into a red car and driven to West Auckland.
In better news, Rogers said Romeo was being well cared for and was "sometimes" allowed to sleep on the cat-napper's bed.
She also claimed Romeo had told her the person doesn't quite know what to do with him and although concerned about drawing attention to himself, wonders whether to hand him in for the reward.
Last month McAlister told the Herald on Sunday she was "desperate to get him back. I know some people think it's so ridiculous that I'm so upset but, to us, the cats are members of the family."
Spy loves a happy ending, so listen up. If you are the cat-napper, get an associate to drop Romeo safely at the Ponsonby Veterinary clinic at 46 Pollen St.
