The latest Hunger Games marketing strategy has accidentally printed the C-word across actress Jennifer Lawrence's face.

A poster advertising the final film in the hugely popular movie franchise was released last week featuring Lawrence's face with the words "100 days until The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part Two".

However due to the unfortunate font layout a certain four-letter is clearly visible.

The "unt" from "until" is placed next to the second "0" from "100", which was formatted to look like a "C" making the word "C***" clearly visible.

Entertainment company Lionsgate swiftly deleted the poster from the official Hunger Games Twitter account, but not before fans spotted the error.

Variety

reports that Lionsgate is yet to comment on the unfortunate mistake.

"Tell me that doesn't say c***? Dear me," Twitter user Lina wrote.

Some were unimpressed: "The new Hunger Games Poster wasn't well thought through," wrote Charlee.

But others were more forgiving: "Over hearing about the Hunger Games graphic. Mistakes happen and evidently some ppl have way too much time on their hands," Hunger Games Fans wrote.
