More than a decade after the third installment of Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park franchise was released, the dinosaurs are back for a fresh slice of action in Jurassic World.
And the blockbuster promises to be worth the agonising wait if the brand new official trailer for the Colin Trevorrow-directed flick is anything to go by.
Guardians Of The Galaxy hunk Chris Pratt takes on the lead role in the new science fiction film, which is produced by Spielberg and set 22 years after the events of the original.
Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond.
The dramatic trailer paints the park as a family-friendly place where people go to experience the dinosaurs in their natural habit ... but the peaceful co-habitation obviously doesn't last long.
Enter sexy scientist Claire, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, whose team has been conducting research on Velociraptors in a bid to develop a new and exciting attraction.
She explains: "We have learned more in the past decade from genetics than in the past century of digging up bones.
"A whole new frontier has opened up... We have our first genetically modified hybrid."
Naturally, things don't quite go to plan. "You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea", warns Chris Pratt's Owen.
With a 12 metre high mutant dinosaur on the loose, the island is evacuated as staff try to capture the high intelligent creature, hell-bent on killing everything in its path.
Jurassic World also stars Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Judy Greer.
The film is scheduled for release on June 12, 2015.
