Lego video game confirmed for 2014 (+video)

A Lego Movie video game will be released to coincide with a movie and a toy collection, it was announced today.

Warner Bros and TT Games confirmed details of The Lego Movie Videogame today, which casts players in the role of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average Lego minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the key to saving the world.

Players guide him as he is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

"We're thrilled to be able to give kids the joy of reliving Emmet's adventures in becoming virtual Master Builders with The Lego Movie Videogame," said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing.

"Players will be taking on the ultimate mission to save the Lego world and use their virtual building prowess to build unimaginable sets and creations."

The Lego Movie Videogame will be released next year on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, PC and Nintendo 3DS.
