Guyon Espiner and Duncan Garner will front a new current affairs debate show called The Vote.
New Zealand On Air has granted $905,000 for 10 hour-long episodes of the show, which will screen on TV3.
It said The Vote will involve a series of debates on issues of national importance.
Each show will incorporate interaction with viewers and conclude with a citizen's vote.
Garner and Espiner will front the show, along with TV3's new flagship current affairs programme 3rd Degree.
NZ On Air chief executive Jane Wrightson said The Vote promises an innovative approach to primetime current affairs.
"We're very pleased to support these programmes to sit alongside Q + A and The Nation with their proven track records for discussing timely issues."
Espiner confirmed he will front the show in a tweet sent this morning.
"NZ on Air announce new current affairs debate show for TV3 called The Vote. Me and Duncan Garner will present that and 3rd Degree."
