Games, Bebo, YouTube and Trade Me topped New Zealanders' searches on Google in 2008, but the results also reveal a curious year of internet searches, the Sunday Star-Times has reported.
Those surfing for porn were more likely to live in Taranaki, then Auckland and Manawatu-Wanganui. Recipe searches revealed that cakes were most popular, followed by bread, pie, soup, chicken and muffins. Many of the terms had not been searched enough to produce a data report but Auckland was the only area where "genital warts" searches registered in any number (spikes were recorded in April and September).
