Moody's Investors Service pleaded guilty to charges of destroying documents during a 1996 US Justice Department investigation of its business practices and said three top executives were resigning.
The company also agreed to pay a $US195,000 ($490,689) fine as part of the guilty plea. Three executives, including Douglas Watson Jr, managing director of public finance, submitted their resignations in connection with the case.
