What's happening in the world of business, finance and economics today? We have the latest business, markets, currency and personal finance news, opinion and financial market reports.

1. Brexit
Events are unfolding in Britain, to decide whether that country will remain in the European Union. By around 3pm on Friday, New Zealanders will know the outcome but recounts might be required, in which case we will not find out till the weekend.

2. Bank surveys
Today, Westpac will release its consumer confidence survey and the BNZ will release its performance and manufacturing index. That is a monthly survey providing an early indicator of levels of activity.

3. AGM
Wynyard Group holds its annual general meeting today.

4. John Key
Prime Minister John Key is due to hold his regular weekly press conference this afternoon in Wellington.

5. Transport
The New Zealand Transport and Infrastructure Summit is being held at Wellington's Intercontinental Hotel, 2 Grey St.
