A softball bat was among items seized by police called out to Brookfield this morning.

There was a heavy police presence on Queen Rd after reports of an altercation about 10.10am.

A reporter at the scene said police had seized a softball bat and what appeared to be a homemade spear gun from a property where a crowd of people had congregated.

A man was arrested at the scene.
