Hudson, a three-year-old pug with a killer personality, has been named as The Bay of Plenty Pet of the Year.
With an overwhelming number of entries, only 130 pet pictures could be published in the Katikati Advertiser, Te Puke Times and Bay News on November 5.
The public then voted on who they thought the Bay of Plenty's cutest pet was. Almost 1000 votes were made with only four votes between Hudson's image and the next contender.
Bay of Plenty Times classified sales manager Tara Childs said they were inundated with gorgeous pet photos while the competition was open.
"The creativity in the photos was incredible to see with the different camera angles and all the different poses the animals made, it was a real laugh to go through.
